API Reference

Coming soon

We are preparing a public API for teams that want KPILoop data to flow directly into their planning, analytics, and internal workflow tools. Most customers already rely on exports and role dashboards for daily operations, but larger organizations often need automated sync between KPI management and systems such as HRIS platforms, data warehouses, and executive reporting workspaces. The API is being designed for those production environments: consistent object models, predictable pagination, clear error responses, and versioned endpoints so your integrations remain stable over time.

On launch, the API will support CRUD operations for KPI definitions, user profiles, departments, KPI assignments, and analytics summaries. That means you will be able to create and update KPI templates from your internal systems, sync new hires into the correct reporting structure, and pull score trends for weekly business reviews without manual spreadsheet work. We are also preparing endpoints that expose review cycle state, assignment progress, and departmental health snapshots so leadership reporting can run on a reliable schedule.

Authentication will include scoped API keys for server-to-server use and OAuth 2.0 for delegated application access. Teams with strict governance requirements will be able to assign permissions by environment, rotate credentials without downtime, and audit access events against policy. Initial rate limits are planned per workspace and per credential, with separate pools for write-heavy sync jobs and read-heavy analytics consumers. We are documenting retry guidance, idempotency behavior, and webhook signing for event-driven integrations so your engineering team can deploy safely in production.

If your team is planning integration work this quarter, join the launch list below. We share milestone updates, early schema previews, and sandbox availability notices with subscribers first.

Planned coverage

  • KPI endpoints for create, update, archive, and assignment lifecycle actions
  • User and department provisioning tied to role-based permissions
  • Assignment progress and review cycle status retrieval for reporting pipelines
  • Analytics endpoints for trend summaries and cross-department KPI health
  • API key and OAuth 2.0 support with scoped permissions
  • Workspace-level rate limits and integration-safe retry guidance
